This Refund & Return Policy applies to purchases made through selectcarssw.shop, operated by SELECT CARS SW LIMITED.

1. One-Time Vehicle Purchases

All purchases from selectcarssw.shop are one-time purchases of physical vehicles.

We do not sell vehicles through subscriptions, recurring billing arrangements or automatic renewal plans.

Once the purchase price has been paid, there are no automatic recurring charges for the vehicle purchase.

2. Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you are a consumer purchasing a vehicle online under a distance contract, you may have a statutory right to cancel your purchase without giving a reason within the applicable cancellation period.

For qualifying distance sales of goods, UK guidance generally provides a 14-day cancellation period beginning when the consumer receives the goods. After notifying the trader of cancellation, the consumer generally has a further 14 days to return the goods.

To exercise this right, contact:

Email: shop@selectcarssw.shop
Phone: +44 7891 850640

Please include:

  • Full name;
  • Order number;
  • Vehicle details;
  • Delivery address;
  • Clear statement that you wish to cancel the purchase.

3. Returning a Vehicle

Because vehicles are large and may contain regulated lithium batteries, customers must contact us before arranging the return of a vehicle.

We will provide return instructions appropriate to the vehicle.

Customers must not independently arrange transport of a vehicle containing a lithium battery using a carrier that does not accept or permit the relevant shipment.

4. Return Condition

Where a customer exercises a statutory cancellation right, the vehicle should be returned without undue delay and within the applicable statutory return period.

The customer may inspect and handle the vehicle only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Where the vehicle has been used or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and its value has consequently been reduced, any deduction will only be made where permitted by applicable law.

5. Defective or Misdescribed Vehicles

If the vehicle is faulty, materially misdescribed or otherwise fails to meet applicable statutory requirements, contact us immediately.

Please provide:

  • Order number;
  • Vehicle identification information;
  • Description of the problem;
  • Photographs or videos;
  • Relevant diagnostic or inspection information where available.

We will assess the issue and provide the remedy required by applicable law.

UK consumer law provides statutory rights concerning goods that are not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose. These rights cannot simply be removed by a contractual term.

6. Return Transportation Costs

For a change-of-mind cancellation under applicable distance-selling rules, the customer may be responsible for reasonable return delivery costs where the law permits this and the required information was provided before purchase.

Where a vehicle is returned because it is faulty, materially misdescribed or otherwise requires a remedy for which we are legally responsible, we will handle return transportation in accordance with applicable law.

Because vehicles require specialist transportation, customers should not book return transport before contacting us.

7. Refund Timeframe

Once a qualifying returned vehicle has been received and the applicable cancellation or refund requirements have been satisfied, we will normally process the refund within 3–5 business days.

Where statutory law requires a refund sooner, the statutory deadline will apply.

For qualifying distance-contract cancellations, UK guidance generally requires the refund to be made within 14 days after the goods are received back or appropriate evidence of return is provided, subject to the applicable statutory rules.

The time taken for the refund to appear in the customer’s bank account may depend on the original payment provider.

8. Original Delivery Charges

Where a consumer lawfully cancels a qualifying distance contract, the refund of delivery charges will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

UK guidance generally provides that the trader refunds the cost of standard delivery, while any additional cost arising from the customer’s choice of a more expensive delivery option may not be refundable.

9. Non-Returnable Circumstances

Nothing in this section removes statutory rights.

Subject to applicable law, we may reject a return or reduce a refund where:

  • The customer has materially damaged the vehicle;
  • The customer has made unauthorised modifications;
  • The battery system has been altered;
  • Identification or safety markings have been removed;
  • The vehicle has been used beyond reasonable inspection;
  • The customer has caused avoidable damage;
  • The return is outside the applicable statutory or agreed return period.

10. Statutory Rights

This Policy does not affect rights available under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation.

Where a statutory right conflicts with this Policy, the statutory right will prevail.
